Hail to you, visitor!

My name is Balázs Vajner (in the online world: Blasius Secundus). I was born in 1984, in Budapest, Hungary.

I graduated from Pázmány Péter Catholic University (PPCU), Faculty of Humanities (currently: Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences) in 2008 with Univ. degree in History and Latin. I was an ERASMUS-Student at Johannes Gutenberg-Universität (Mainz) in 2007, and a Ph. D. student at PPCU between 2008 and 2011. I defended my theses in 2016.

Besides my classical studies, I am also very interested in computer programming and other magical things that can be achieved with the personal computer of today (e. g. old photo or audio restoration). I started to learn programming (C/C++) for fun around 2000. Since then I became proficient in multiple programming languages, mostly those that are C/C++-like: C#, PHP, JavaScript etc. I am also keeping myself up-to-date in web programming standards and best practices, like HTML5/CSS3, semantic web, responsive design and standard compliance.

Among other things, I am working as a freelance translator, programmer, web developer (and whatever else I can do with the computer).
